Jason Jones, PhD

PSYCHOLOGIST

He/Him/His

My decision to be a psychologist stems from personal and family experiences that showed me the profound pain that depression, anxiety, and trauma can cause. These experiences ignited a passion within me to provide a supportive environment where you can find relief, discover your unique path, and feel empowered to discover your authentic self. My style is pragmatic, conversational, genuine, and sometimes I interject my humor too! My ultimate goal is to create a compassionate and collaborative space where you feel comfortable and able to share your true self.

During my doctoral training at California School of Professional Psychology, I focused my research efforts on understanding depression and its effects with LGBTQ+ folks. I learned valuable insights into the unique challenges and experiences faced by individuals in this community which continues to help me serve these individuals more effectively. I have deepened this knowledge with over 15 years of providing psychotherapy to folks from all walks of life.

I was raised in the Midwest by a family of autoworkers before moving to the West Coast where I’ve spent my last 25 years. I love living close to mountains and rivers.  When I’m not working, you might find me singing karaoke, camping, lifting weights, making jokes with friends, or walking my dog.
