My approach to working with patients blends modalities. I believe in having a welcoming space where we can work collaboratively. I am excited to work with people of all backgrounds and identities. While I specialize in managing symptoms with appropriate medications, I also have a background in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and find incorporating DBT skills into our work can be beneficial for achieving balance and growth.

I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who has been practicing for nearly fifteen years. After my master’s program, I completed my Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2012 at Vanderbilt University. I started my career in a mood disorder research clinic before focusing on clinical practice. Over the last decade I have worked with underserved populations, individuals with intellectual disabilities, the general adult population, and prior to joining Aspire, undergraduate and graduate level students.
Outside of work you’ll likely find me in one of a few places. I tend to spend most of my time at home with my wife, child, dogs, and cats. I also enjoy being active and love the ritual of going to the gym. Otherwise, you might find me preoccupied with brewing the perfect cup of coffee.
