I strive to help my patients reduce their suffering and increase joy and connection using a holistic approach in therapy. I incorporate relevant science and research, humor, and compassion throughout the therapy process. Therapy with me will be more directive at times so that you feel empowered to confront challenging issues. The treatment process will involve gaining an understanding of your strengths and challenges, collaboratively developing goals for treatment, and implementing tools and skills learned in therapy to live a more fulfilling, effective, and meaningful life.
I received my master’s and doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Pacific University. My bachelor’s degree in nutritional science gives me a greater understanding of the impact of physical health on mental health in my work as a clinical psychologist. I completed my residency at Wright-Patterson Medical Center. I am also an Air Force veteran and former military psychologist. This has given me a wealth of experience providing the gold standard in trauma treatment.
