Meet Katherine Noonan
Growth and empowerment occur when we feel seen and heard, and this is what I strive to foster in my work as a psychologist. I am passionate about helping you achieve your health and wellness goals. I use an evidence based, integrative approach, and my goal is to identify your unique needs and aspirations. You’ll find I am warm , empathetic, kind and accepting, and that in our work together, I create a space where you can feel comfortable and free to share all parts of yourself.
I completed my undergraduate studies with a dual degree in Psychology and English at the State University of New York. What I learned in undergraduate school sparked a passion in me to understand the power of therapy as a way to help people fulfill their potential and to lead rewarding and full lives.
I completed my PhD in Clinical Health Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology-Alliant International University. During my internship and post-doctoral fellowships, I worked with people who struggled with their health, including challenges like disability and disease. Over the course of the last 18 years practicing as a psychologist, I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of people, with a particular emphasis on health and wellness.
I specialize in helping people with anxiety, depression, adjustment to life transitions, adjustment to disability, insomnia, and other sleep disorders. I use a mindfulness-based approach as well as CBT approaches, and I have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain (CBT-CP), Hypnosis, and Mindfulness.
When I am not at Aspire, you’ll find me on a bleacher at a high school ball game or walking the golf course. I enjoy reading, traveling and most importantly, spending as much time as I can with family and friends.
